Clean Red Widgets | Introduction
I remember in business school, whenever the professor wanted to give the class an example about what a company or store sells, he would often cite the “clean red widgets” as his example (don’t ask, he was a widget fanatic as you’ll soon see).
He taught us that one of the primary ways to make money online or make money in general (real world) was to sell widgets. They, like any other product, can come in all different shapes and sizes. Widgets can come in black, blue, green, yellow, red, cyan, pink, big, small, medium, large, cheap, and of course, expensive red widgets.
Often, if a store sold dirty red widgets, then that business would have to sell the red widget at a steep discount to convince the consumer to purchase that particular widgets. However, if you were good at sales and understood buyer mentalities and marketing, you could actually convince the person to buy the dirty red widget, over say the more overpriced clean red widget, because the customer would have bought the story, not the widget (more on that later).
But he said he was getting ahead of himself. All he wanted us to know that if we wanted to make money selling clean red widgets, all we had to do is go out there and sell it. We can either do face to face selling, or set up a website or store and create a business system (preferably automated) to mass sell and produce clean red widgets because after all, the big profits are through quantity, and you want to sell as many clean red widgets as humanly possible.
